Fault Phenomenon: Foton Raysta L16 clutch functions normally when cold. After frequent starts (operating temperature), the clutch slips, power transmission is insufficient, and eventually burns out.
Troubleshooting Process:
– Checked clutch pedal: free play normal, no sticking.
– Checked release bearing: bearing turns freely, no abnormal noise.
– Checked pressure plate springs: no obvious breakage.
– Measured clutch disc temperature at operating temperature: found temperature too high, causing friction coefficient to drop.
Root Cause: Poor heat resistance of the clutch disc friction material causes it to fail at high temperatures.
Required Parts: Clutch disc and pressure plate assembly.
