Troubleshooting Process:
– Measured resistance: sensor wiring shorted to ground.
– Checked harness: harness worn, short to ground.
– Checked connector: connector water ingress, short.
– Checked sensor: sensor itself normal.

Root Cause: The transmission oil temperature sensor’s signal wire wore through and shorted to ground, causing the ECU to read an incorrect low resistance signal (corresponding to high temperature).

Required Parts: Repair or replace sensor harness.
