Troubleshooting Process:
– Checked piston rod: hard chrome layer peeled off or deep grooves scored.
– Checked seal: guide bushing seal scratched and failed.
– Checked dust seal: dust seal failed, allowing mineral powder ingress.
– Checked installation: cylinder off-center loading.

Root Cause: The front suspension cylinder dust seal failed, allowing fine mineral powder to enter the cylinder, scoring the piston rod plating during reciprocation and subsequently damaging the seal.

Required Parts: Replace piston rod (re-chrome) and full set of seals.
